Quickly after disclosing the closing funding decision (FID) for the challenge, U.S. oil & gas firm Chevron has awarded TechnipFMC with a contract for the supply of subsea production programs for the third stage of trend for its massive gas challenge offshore Western Australia.

The Chevron-operated Gorgon challenge is a joint challenge between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47.33%), ExxonMobil (25%), Shell (25%), Osaka Fuel (1.25%), MidOcean (1%) and JERA (0.417%).
