Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 4.96%), KKV Agro Powers Ltd.(up 3.34%), Karma Energy Ltd.(up 1.97%) and PTC India Ltd.(up 1.03%) stood among the tip gainers.
KEC World Ltd.(down 5.71%), SJVN Ltd.(down 5.09%), Jaiprakash Energy Ventures Ltd.(down 4.ninety 9%), India Energy Company Ltd.(down 4.96%), KPI Green Energy Ltd.(down 4.95%), Energy Pattern Firm Ltd.(down 4.84%), Reliance Energy Ltd.(down 4.76%), Neueon Towers Ltd.(down 4.66%), Jyoti Constructions Ltd.(down 4.62%) and NLC India Ltd.(down 4.28%) were among the tip losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 246.91 aspects down at 22272.5, whereas the 30-allotment BSE Sensex closed down 845.12 aspects at 73399.78.
Oil And Natural Gasoline Company Ltd.(up 5.33%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.35%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.28%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.69%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.22%) and Solar Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.01%) stood among the tip gainers within the Nifty pack.
On the opposite hand, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.47%), Wipro Ltd.(down 2.43%), UPL Ltd.(down 2.42%), ICICI Monetary institution Ltd.(down 2.36%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.14%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.14%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.13%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.95%), Bharat Petroleum Company Ltd.(down 1.94%) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.94%) closed within the crimson.
