The European Marine Vitality Centre (EMEC) has secured a £15 million (around €17.5 million) investment to fabricate better its tidal energy be taught and pattern (R&D) infrastructure in Orkney, Scotland.

The Blue Horizon project will fabricate better EMEC’s tidal test products and companies to enable the demonstration of tidal energy arrays.

The project is one in all three chosen in a combined pot of £150 million, backed by the UK Executive and delivered by UK Study and Innovation (UKRI).
